What is a pain?
Pain is defined as an unpleasant sensation and experience that is felt when there is damage to the tissue. Pain is something that causes discomfort in both body and mind, and to continue with pain is very troublesome. Different people experience the pain in different ways; some people even have a tolerance level to deal with pain. Nociceptors are the special type of nerves that detect the tissue signals. It then transmits the information regarding the sensation of the pain along the spinal cord to the brain. Like morphine, Tramadol binds to receptors in the brain (narcotic or opioid receptors) that are important for transmitting the sensation of pain from throughout the body to the brain.
